It’s been a bit quiet here on the blog on the past couple of weeks. But in the background there has been a lot of things happening.
We’ve just spent two weeks together on holidays in Newcastle. It was a busy time with plenty of activities with four little girls – shopping, playgrounds, the beach, the pool, the farmer’s market, and LOTS more. In the midst of all that we were able to sneak out (leaving the kids with Pa) and spend some time planning and working on some new things for the blog for this year. Things that we believe will help equip and support you in your quest for health and wellbeing.
It’s a bit early to give many details but the changes will begin over the next week or so. One of these things involves some structural changes to the blog site. We don’t expect to have any down time, but if we do it won’t be for long.
THEN….the first exciting thing: we will be introducing a new contributor to the blog. Stay tuned!!!
I’m thinking be a little bit more selfish. It’s to easy to put obstacles in the way. Just get real.

Hi Wendy. I agree, it really is too easy to let your own needs slip by …..while you’re busy taking care of everyone else. One of the things I had to come to terms with a few years ago was that looking after myself was not the same as being selfish. In fact, it is a very loving thing to do for those around you.
Who cares what people think if you (& your kids) don’t eat the same food as everyone else at gatherings….or when you take time out to go for a walk, or have some alone-time.
When I read your comment I thought that you might be interested in two of Mark Sisson’s books: `The Primal Blueprint’ and his latest, `The Primal Connection’. He talks a lot about the health benefits of taking time to relax, sleep, play, have fun etc.
