Pumpkin Spice Mix

Pumpkin spice mix recipeIt’s the season where many of the recipes call for Pumpkin Spice Mix as we prepare to celebrate both canadian and American Thanksgiving. It’s not something we see on our supermarket shelves here in Australia so for our Canadian and American friends here is a recipe for making your own. This is so simple and can be easily adjusted to your own liking.

  • 8 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons allspice
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves

Mix these all together and store in an airtight container.

The original recipe did not have cloves in it. We really like the strong flavour of cloves so added them. in fact, I think I would like to double the amount next time.

So there you have it. Pumpkin Spice Mix is not a secret recipe. You now have your own.
